WAH HA HA HA
Chalk one up for the good guys.
You know, you’d think that a free program such as Wordpress would offer better support. ..Then again, no you wouldn’t.
My Bad. The trouble is, when you go to the forums for help, if you don’t already know the answer to your own question then you’re an idiot. They’ll tell you flat out. Now, I don’t normally consider myself an idiot, but for the sake of argument, okay.
I struggled with this program for a month. Then I gave up and it worked great. You see, that’s what I wanted Wordpress to think: that I gave up. Wordpress let it’s guard down. Just then I decided to swoop back in. I ignored all the tutorials I’ve watched, all the instructions I’ve read, and all the common sense I have, and I just did something totally stupid. I deleted the files I couldn’t figure out and tried again.
POOF!
It worked.
Instead of a “Sorry, you’re an idiot” message I normally get, I got a ” Congrats!” message.
So the lesson here is: if you can’t figure something out, just give up and it’ll fix itself.
In other news, my lovely wife is going to a casting call tomorrow for the new Johnny Depp movie. Yes, it’s true, they are shooting (at least portions) of the movie here in Oshkosh, WI. My wife will be doing her audition at a local middle school. I’m guessing Mr. Depp will be doing his work in front of a green screen in Hollywood, California. …I just can’t see him in downtown Oshkosh.
I could audition myself, but as it turns out, I’m too tall (they only want men 6′1 and under). Another problem would be my resemblence to Johnny Depp. Placing me in the movie would only confuse the audience into thinking I was his twin brother. ..One day I’m sure he’ll make a movie in which his character has a twin brother. -and THAT is the day I will strike. Afterall, I DID have 2 different people tell me I looked like Johnny Depp - or was it edward scissorhands? -And YES, nearly-blind relatives DO count.
On deck for GoatoftheGame is customizing this blogging program to match the rest of the site. I have called out to geeks everywhere for assistance. We’ll see how that goes. If you care to donate some funds, there is a paypal link at the bottom of most pages at www.goatofthegame.com. I don’t imagine donating to this site is high on anyone’s list of charities, but who knows. -Some funds coming in would allow me to secure only the geekiest of all geeks and really make this site something special.
Oh, I nearly forgot: there has been somewhat of a format change. Now anyone can blog. I will attempt to feature blogs on the team’s pages (one’s I happen to like), but anyone can submit. Please do so now.
..or now.
